Lyrics

doko ni yukebaii
anata to hanarete
ima wa sugisatta
toki ni toikakete

nagasugita yoru ni
tabidachi wo yume mita
ikoku no sora mitsumete
kodokuwo dakishimete

nanagareru namida wo
toki no kaze ni kasanete
owaranai anata no
toiki wo kanjite
dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love

Loneliness, your silent whisper
Fills a river of tears through the night
Memory, you never let me cry
And you, you never said goodbye

Sometimes our tears blinded the love
We lost our dreams along the way
But I'd never thought you'd trade your soul to the fates
Never thought you'd leave me alone

Time through the rain has set me free
Sands of time will keep your memory
Love everlasting, fades away
Alive within your beatless heart

dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love

nanagareru namida wo
toki no kaze ni kasanete
owaranai anata no
aoi bara ni kaete

dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love

nanagareru namida wo
toki no kaze ni kasanete
owaranai anata no
toiki wo kanjite

dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love
dry your tears with love

Initial D

Watched Initial D (Tou wen zi D) yesterday. Not a big fan of it, but i'm an average fan of Jay Chou and heard all the publicity of the movie since Jan (when i was in army), so came to take a look at it. No choice either cos was accompanying ws and edwin anyway...

I expected something serious, like Jackie Chan's Thunderbolt (pi li huo), which was the last racing movie i've probably seen, yeah i'm that deprived when it comes to racing movies. Not too many of them anyway, just look at the immense budget, the stunts, the cars, etc. So it was like, good guy against bad guy, speedometers racing and falling, blah.

Initial D is a comedy. At least when u watch it with ws and edwin, but anyway it was hilarious. The lead guy, (name?) played by Jay Chou, is expressionless, so much so that i wonder if it really fits the character he is playing in the manga. He drives with an air of nonchalance, resting his elbow on the car window and doing the steering with his other hand. The story revolves around him: some people come to Mt. Akina (where he stays) to challenge him, he wins them all (then??), he gets a girlfriend in the meantime, but then abandons her for some reason (see the movie!)

Not very much in terms of plot, but people wanna see (ok, i look out for) 1) the humourous dialogue / action between the characters (they picked some of HK's looniest characters), 2) the finer points of the race: how Jay "drifts", when he steps on the gas and the brake simultaneously, and of course the drift itself, and 3) the love story that weaves around the plot reflecting the plight of Japan's (the story is set in Japan)'s society.

And of course, some people just wanna see Jay Chou act.

Which i think, he acts okay. Waiseng is surprised that he can actually talk without murmuring. He needs to be more emotive in theory but i think for his image, he doesn't need to.

Quite a good movie, all in all.
