more stuff to do

whew.
today got SCD and EML practice.

SCD took the practice to a higher level. must get from jingwen the dance track. this time we tackled the cresendo part (the start) to somewhere near the arabic part of the song and discovered how the first stunt would be used...

regretfully.. all must do the stunt... looks like that is the case. the stunt involves flipping my partner (lin qun??) about 360 degs about a plane. hope lin qun doesn't get any abrasions, sprains or strains (oops think i strained her neck today, i'm so sorry man... so sorry so sorry so sorry so sorry so sorry so sorry)

no strength man. still no strength. sien. aching all over. no endorphins like tuesday. sien.

the new moves are pretty dastardly too. horrible, given that i can't even manage the first set (finale dance) they taught. too slow!! no smile!! no precision!!!

then after that, got EML. a 2 hour meeting, i almost died. basically:

have to help out with the EML concert (logs).
have to compose a piece by dunno when.

the theme for this year's (2006) concert is Outer Space. Sounds weird. guess we'll have to play with SE (sound effects), frequency filters, etc. pretty technical stuff. well which is what the regulars are completely capable of doing.

i'm thinking of using samples which depict the launching of a space shuttle (rem Apollo 13?) stuff like metallic voiceovers (10...9...8... etc) with rocket launching and fuel burning effects.. something like To The Moon and Back by Savage Garden.
