Prank Call

received a call from an unknown person today on the family telephone. it was a voice of a middle aged woman.

"who is calling my phone?"

i said i did not call her phone then she got nasty: "hey u'd better stop calling my phone..." sigh. it is not good to have someone scold u for no reason in the morning. this is not the army. i put the telephone down.

the woman called again, she asked the same question, i gave the same answer and she gave the same scolding, which i capped off halfway.

immediately the woman called a third time. grrr. why wun she learn, damn. picked up the phone.

"whoever u are, you better stop calling my phone ah!! keep receiving alot of prank calls..." etc etc.

damn. by now i was damn exasperated and i shouted into the mouthpiece, "hey i didnt call you ok!!!" then slammed the phone down.

immediately after i slammed the phone down the phone rang a fourth time. i ignored it. the phone rang about >15 times, when i can't take it any longer i picked it up.

the woman didn't give me a chance to present my side of the story, nvm. i just screamed into the phone and capped it. DAMN.

as expected, the phone rang a fifth time after i capped it. woke my sister up from her sleep. damn. at about the 15th ring i picked up the phone and screamed "goddamn it can u please stop calling!! i didn't call your damn phone OK?!?!!" then "POM!" i slammed the phone down. GRRR.

the phone rang a sixth time. this time, we just let it rang. the caller didn't call back after that. i guess she gave up.

damn, now who gets the prank call??

later, my sister offered an explanation for this, as she had experienced similar situations before. it was thought that some $%^&*#$%^ who had nothing better to do went to divert their call to our house number. Why choose my house number? very easy. my number is 6**12345:

the first number denotes a home phone,
the next two numbers denotes the area in which the phone is located.
the last five numbers are random.

so some guy probably living in the same area as me probably just conveniently took the numbers 12345 and placed it to form my house number, then diverted all their calls to this number so that Caller-IDs will sense this number instead of their own number when they make the prank calls. I dunno how they do it, i dun use home phones much these days.

IF you live in the same district as me and wanna jump on the bandwagon, DON'T. God damn you if u do it. It is not fun for my household as well as the household u are pranking on. And it only shows your boliaoness and stupidity and childish thinking.
